Existem festas de origens e formas muito diferentes, com significados diferentes. \u00c9 essa diversidade, sem d\u00favida, a que traduz o papel chave que o festivo, em geral, cumpre na nossa exist\u00eancia.<\/p>\n<p>Podem surgir espontaneamente de factos n\u00e3o procurados, mas mais frequentemente s\u00e3o eventos culturalmente partilhados; alguns deles relacionados com o ciclo de vida individual, com a fam\u00edlia, o bairro, o povo, a cidade ou at\u00e9 o pa\u00eds.<\/p>\n<p>O carnaval enquadra-se numa festa de esta\u00e7\u00e3o no ciclo anual e \u00e9 um ritual. Um ritual festivo que \u00e9 uma representa\u00e7\u00e3o. Em todos os rituais existe uma grande preocupa\u00e7\u00e3o com os preliminares, a localiza\u00e7\u00e3o e decora\u00e7\u00e3o do espa\u00e7o festivo, a indument\u00e1ria, os instrumentos, a m\u00fasica, as pessoas que participam&#8230;<\/p>\n<p>Os rituais festivos absorvem uma grande quantidade de recursos e uma grande variedade de objetos, atividades e manifesta\u00e7\u00f5es art\u00edsticas. Quando todos estes elementos foram ultimados e reunidos come\u00e7am a integrar-se, gradualmente, criando o ambiente festivo adequado para expressar o seu objetivo final.<\/p>\n<p>No contexto africano o Carnaval n\u00e3o \u00e9 uma festa muito difundida. Durante muito tempo s\u00f3 se conheciam os carnavais de Cabo Verde e os da Ilha Reuni\u00e3o. Uma surpresa antropol\u00f3gica de grande beleza est\u00e9tica e profundo interesse cultural, alguns autores tentaram ver nas m\u00e1scaras de touros que se usam nos carnavais de Barranquilla, na Col\u00f4mbia, a representa\u00e7\u00e3o do touro da m\u00e1scara bijag\u00f3, que usavam no Arquip\u00e9lago Bijag\u00f3 nos seus barcos de guerra e continuam a ser usadas em cerim\u00f3nias de inicia\u00e7\u00e3o.<\/p>\n<p>A recupera\u00e7\u00e3o, por parte do povo Bijag\u00f3, desta tradi\u00e7\u00e3o esquecida nas Ilhas de Orango, \u00e9 mais um aliciante para visitar este para\u00edso natural carregado de cultura.
